Pink (or Fuchsia) "Suits" Everyone!
Been a while, right? Soo, what have I been up to? Well, a bit of this and a bit of that! My French classes are progressing well. I have 2 classes per week and with my homework and the French podcasts I listen to and the tv shows I watch aaand the songs I hear, I am doing …. wait, I’ll say it in French;) Alors, totalement je fais 7 ou 8 heures de français chaque semaine!!
Work has picked up pace too. Yippppeeeee!!! I’m obviously producing more videos now, with Instagram officially switching from a photo to a video platform, sooo, it wasn’t much of a choice. Really IG?!!? It’s definitely a lot more time consuming!! But, at the end of the day, producing content makes me thoroughly fulfilled. Plus, as you all know, videos and pictures, especially of myself, are my favorite pastime (and now work) so, no complaints there, whatsoever.
Another passion of mine, as you may or may not know (yet), is UNICEF and since, I already serve on the North West Regional Board, I decided to co-chair UNICEF @75 to celebrate UNICEF’s …. you got it, 75th anniversary. The celebration will take place in 10 cities across the United States on November 30, 2021, which happens to be Giving Tuesday. Soooo pumped about this event. It will be a hybrid event, so guests can attend in person or virtually. And, in case you’re interested, here’s a link to purchase tix to the event. But, if you have zero interest, that’s fine too but then again you can be a REALLY nice human being (and friend) and help the children of the world. Merci beaucoup!! Oooh, I went for the tasting for our event this week and it almost seemed like old times/PCW (Pre-Covid World).
What else….? Ummmm….. Lyali is applying to college! Whaaaat???? She has a lot on her plate but Inshallah, all will go well 🙏🏽 How the f- - - k did time fly this quickly? And, Isaad is a Junior at college now, mashallah! And, I’ve officially graduated to a peri-menopausal, middle-aged albeit, one-who-looks-not-too-shabby-for-her-age woman 😜 Meanwhile, Nadir is working hard, as usual!! But, he’s working tremendously harder to dodge/avoid/escape my Instagram Stories!! Ha!! As if he’ll succeed, but good luck trying, Jaan😘
Last, but not least, I made it to Paris Fashion Week in Feb/March after missing two seasons and it was just glorious. On this trip, as I saw the fashion shows, met friends, old and new, visited my favorite haunts, walked aimlessly with my camera, discovered the streets of Paris I’d never seen before and ate at all of my favorite restaurants, I was filled with a renewed sense of gratitude. Gratitude for life, particularly MY life and of course, for my work which is a gift that keeps giving. I work very hard and I absolutely LOVE what I do and to be able to continue doing what I love even while in Paris makes me a very, VERY, lucky girl ❤️
