Ethereal is defined as something or someone extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world. Some synonyms that come to mind are: delicate, dainty, graceful, elegant, exquisite, pretty ...

But for me, the term ethereal embodies all of the above definitions plus a romantic, gossamer, fairy-like being that makes my heart flutter 💓 And that is exactly what I felt when I saw this ... you got it ... ethereal dress! Okay, now put that ethereal bit on hold for a sec ... yes, I'll use it as many times as possible in this post;)

I realized recently, that since I started my blog I have not written a post about any of my dresses. And given how much I LOVE wearing dresses I decided to finally dedicate a post to this ethereal dress. See, how seamlessly it came together? I have to admit that when I first saw this Preen dress, it wasn't love at first sight. I did think the dress was GOORGEOUS but the fact that I had to wear a slip under it was far from appealing. However, once I slipped on the slip and put the dress over it I was bowled over. It looked & felt so feminine and .... right and light and romantic and pretty and ethereal (6 & going strong).

I decided to style it with this pair of Gold Charlotte Olympias. They look festive and are very comfortable. Gone are my days of wearing 6" heels. And this Green Suede Leather Gabriela Hearst bag was just the perfect final finishing accent with this look. It reminds me so much of the stunning costumes and wardrobe in Season 2 of Outlander that's set in 18th century France! Whaaaat??? You haven't seen the show? Claire & Jamie (main characters in the show) will be so offended, as am I, so please get on it now!
